The Cowboy State Volunteers

Wyoming has a well-deserved reputation for helping our neighbors in times of trouble. Wyoming has also enjoyed a long relationship with airplanes and aviation. During the “Great Blizzard of 1949”, volunteer pilots, using their own light airplanes delivered food, medicine, transported doctors and nurses to snowbound people across Wyoming. The Cowboy State Volunteers has been created to continue that tradition and to bring these two Wyoming qualities together. If you like to fly, either as a pilot or as a passenger, and want to help those in distress, the Cowboy State Volunteers might be for you. The Cowboy State Volunteers is looking for both Pilots and Non-Pilots.

The Cowboy State Volunteers, Inc. (CSV) as of August 16, 2017 became a not for profit in Wyoming and August 16, 2017 became a federal 501 (c) 3 nonprofit entity organized in the state of Wyoming.  Our tax ID is: 82-2459729.   We are chartered for:  Providing flight support for search and rescue, organ transport, transport of search and rescue dogs, support for local law enforcement, disaster relief support and any other beneficial flight operation on behalf of the State of Wyoming or Military Department.
